All SMEs, licensed Home Based Businesses and Start Ups in Qatar can register as members of SMEs Connect.

SMEs: Any business with investment less than QR100 million and/or less than 250 employees with a valid Commercial Registration, either licensed or operational companies operating in Qatar

Start-up companies: Start-up companies are private sector businesses seeking to establish and develop new ideas, production processes or businesses. A start-up company must hold a trade permit or a different certification of establishment and be majority owned by a Qatari citizen.

Home Based Businesses (Micro Businesses): A business which is operated in the State of Qatar and often its activities take place in the owner’s home or where he/she resides. Home based businesses must have a valid HBB license issued by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

There is no cost incurred for registration. QDB has established the program with the sole aim of helping small businesses in Qatar grow and achieve their potential.

For your business to become a registered member of SMEs Connect, you will need to complete the registration form on this website. A confirmation e-mail with your membership details will be sent after we verify that you have completed the requirements of the application.

Businesses applying for a membership must upload a scanned copy of their Commercial Registration / Home Based Business registration

QDB has sourced a wide range of exclusive business related deals for the SMEs Connect members. The deals have been selected in order to provide reduced costs on many products and services that are vital for any businesses process. These include practical items such as stationery, web development services, legal services and many more under one portal.

Member businesses are able to redeem deals via the SMEs Connect mobile app. When purchasing products or services as part of the exclusive deals, member businesses should present their SMEs Connect mobile app to the business providing the offer. The business will then enter their unique PIN code into the app to confirm the deal’s redemption.

Each member businesses is able to set up its own business profile within the SMEs Connect website and mobile app. This profile showcases the business’ key services and products to other member businesses within SMEs Connect.

The validity of SMEs Connect membership is linked to the date of expiry of your company’s related government license.
